What is the PlayStrong?
The Playstrong Programs are devoted
to training athletes, coaches and sports medicine professionals
in proven methods that have positively impacted the performance
of professional, masters, collegiate, and high school athletes all
over North America.
The Playstrong Programs offer a broad variety of services
that center on enhancing sports performance and injury
prevention. These include Playstrong Training Courses; Playstrong
Athletic Training; and the Playstrong Store where participants and
athletes may purchase our specialized conditioning equipment.
PlayStrong
Training Courses:
The Playstrong Institute began as a training program for
high school, collegiate and elite athletes. As coaches and trainers
began seeing the positive results in their athletes who were practicing
Playstrong methods, demand was created for programs to train
sports coaches and other healthcare professionals. The PlayStrong
Institute offers a variety of Playstrong courses throughout
the year in addition to providing on-site consultation for interested
collegiate and professional teams and organizations. During our
courses, the participants develop "hands-on" working knowledge of
how to instruct and evaluate athletes in the PlayStrong approach
to movement skills and conditioning.
Playstrong
Training Courses are appropriate for:
- Athletes
- Coaches
- Physical Therapists
- Personal Trainers
- Medical Exercise Specialists
- Sports & Fitness Teaching Professionals
PlayStrong Training is equally appropriate for the high school, collegiate,
professional and Olympic athlete. Though excellent for both the
male and female athlete, Playstrong methods can be specifically
geared to meet the unique training and conditioning needs of the
female athlete.
Many Division I, II, & III collegiate programs
have integrated PlayStrong conditioning and movement skills
into their athletic training and conditioning programs. The PlayStrong
Institute also provided the official movement skills and conditioning
programs for the Colorado Xplosion, the 1997 Women's Professional
American Basketball League Western Conference Champions.
