of the problem is that we train many of our young female athletes
using techniques originally designed for men," says Sarah Scott,

Instead of strengthening the upper body,
as is done in many football conditioning programs, women should
focus on building muscle in areas most susceptible to wear and tear:
the ankles, knees and lower back, Scott says.
