Swim, Bike, Run:
Where To Go In Austin to Get ready for Triathlon
Season

Ironsmith: Tri Fit USA
Established more than 15
years ago, Ironsmith is Austin's first company solely devoted to
developing, coaching, training, conditioning and injury-prevention
programs for swimmers, cyclists, runners and athletes of all kinds
and that certainly includes triathletes.
The Tri Fit USA Triathlon
Training program is designed to develop the triathlon skills of
men and women of all experience and ability levels, says founder
Sarah Scott, a U.S.A. Triathlon certified coach.
"No two people will achieve
optimal performances through identical training, so all Tri Fit
USA training programs are highly individualized," she says. "The
1-to-4 student to teacher ratio also ensures safety and proper instruction,
particularly out on the bike and in the open water."
Tri Fit USA coaching and
training fees range from $31.25 to $75 per session, and classes
are built around the days, hours and needs of either the individual
or the group.
Participants will develop
"No Fear" open-water swimming skills, efficient breathing methods,
improve cycling form, running techniques, reduce transition times,
learn about shoe fit, bike fit and conditioning routines. Tri Fit
USA students also receive free access to Ironsmith training facilities
for the duration of their training.
"Success in training and
racing come from manipulating the four elements of training for
any sport: training frequency, intensity time and type," offers
Scott. "Ideally, someone should begin preparing for their first
sprint distance event at least three months out and an Ironman distance
two years in advance."
